Biographical information

(Rabbi) Brian Zachary Mayer was born and raised on the small island of Manhattan, where much of his family still lives. As an undergraduate, he studied architecture at Tufts University in Boston. He received his Masters degree and rabbinic ordination from the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in 1998. Brian left organized religion after 3 years of work as the assistant rabbi at Temple Judea in Tarzana, CA to pursue his calling -- to re-awaken within people their need to attend to their religious lives.

His work ranges from private sessions with individuals to entertaining and enlightening audiences. He is blessed to be the happiest person he knows.

Brian lives in Los Angeles with his darling wife, Jane (and their dog, Tipper).
