Dan Diker
Biographical information
Dan Diker is Senior Knesset Affairs correspondent and analyst for Israel's Channel One English News. He is also the host of Frontline Israel, a weekend news program on Israeli politics and foreign affairs. Mr. Diker also writes political commentary for the Hebrew language weekly, Makor Rishon.
Mr. Diker also serves as a local breaking news correspondent for WFLD TV Fox Chicago and Fox 5 Miami. He is also called upon by BBC Radio and television to offer local analysis on political affairs. His packaged news reports have aired on CNN International.
Aside from News, Mr. Diker is a senior research analyst at The Jerusalem Center For Public Affairs' (www.jcpa.org) headed by Israel's former UN Ambassador, Dr. Dore Gold. Under the Center's auspices, Mr. Diker has authored several studies on the international news media and Israel's information policy. Mr. Diker and his Palestinian colleague Khaled Abu Toameh, have published a report on the challenges in implementing democratic and security reforms in the Palestinian Authority. Mr. Diker's latest research brief examines the possibility of reintroducing a Jordanian-Palestinian link in the disputed territories of the West Bank and Gaza. Mr Diker has recently been recently been named Director of the Defensible Border's initiative, one of the most recent projects of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.
Born and raised in New York City, Mr. Diker is a 1984 Graduate of Harvard University. In the 1980's he served a marketing executive and then investment banking professional at two leading Wall Street firms. He also studied management at the Harvard Business School, before immigrating to Israel in February, 1990.
