Biographical information
Harrice Miller is an internationally recognized jewelry historian, expert, consultant, appraiser and dealer in vintage and couture costume jewelry. She is the author of four books about collectible costume jewelry. Three are illustrated price guides to costume jewelry and the fourth is a coffee table book covering 30 years of Kenneth Jay Lane's career as a jewelry designer.

Miller's area of expertise is 20th Century collectible costume jewelry. In 2000, she brought to Christie's East an important sale of French couture jewelry including Chanel, Balenciaga, Dior and Gres. She evaluated the jewelry, wrote the catalogue and participated actively in the marketing and promotion of the sale. Miller was also the Costume Jewelry Specialist for the sale of "Period Couture Clothing and Costume Jewelry" at Christie's East in1995 and was the costume jewelry consultant to the Ripley Collection, which was sold at a series of auctions at the Treadway/Toomey Gallery.

Miller has been featured on many television and radio shows and has been the subject of articles in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Family Circle, Woman's World, Self, Art & Auction and other national publications, in addition to jewelry and antique trade magazines. She appeared on QVC for one year with a collection of jewelry inspired by vintage pieces. She actively buys and sells vintage costume jewelry on the internet and was one of the first in her field to explore the e-marketplace.

Miller lives and works in New York City, and travels frequently to the major capitals of Europe to buy and sell costume jewelry. She has an international clientele in Europe, Asia, Canada, and South America.
